Support Education of a Tribal Child: a SIGMA-XLRI & Jharkhand Tribal Foundation Initiative


Update: Thanks to all for their generous contribution. Your contribuutions have helped meeting the target of one yesr's education for 53 tribal children. The donations for this year are now closed.
 
SIGMA (Social Initiative Group for Managerial Action, XLRI) & Jharkhand Tribal Foundation (a registered 2-year old NGO formed by some XLRI staff members) have joined together to raise funds for t0+ tribal children of BPL families from 3 tribal schools:
  • 15 children from St. Thomas School, Gandedhungri (annual educational requirement Rs 1200-1500/ child)
  • 8 children from Savar tribe from Holy Cross School, Chowka, Chandil (annual requirement Rs 12600/child - includes their hostel expenses) &
  • 30 children from St. Ignatius High School, Rengra, P.O. Tonto (annual educational requirement Rs 1500/ child)

Surely the tribal society of India are still backward it is due to the lack of education of of the society itself .As well as the government also responsible for their economical condition .There are different NGOs in India are trying to spread education among the tribal society among them fts india is pioneer.
